Custom orthotics can help with a variety of musculoskeletal complaints ranging from plantar fasciitis to mechanical lower back pain.
They are prescription medical devices that you wear inside your shoes to correct biomechanical problems with the foot such issue with how you walk, stand, or run. Primarily, Dr. Abbate will recommend these to patients that have had recurring or resilient complaints. These are intended to supplement care that Dr. Abbate provides.
They can also help with your foot pain caused by medical conditions such as diabetes, plantar fasciitis, bursitis, and arthritis.
Rigid orthotics, or “functional orthotics,” are made from materials like plastic or carbon fiber. They’re best for walking shoes or dress shoes with closed toes and low heels. This kind of orthotic is designed to ease foot aches and strains as well as pain in the legs, thighs, and lower back that you might feel if your foot doesn’t work like it should.

Frank is awesome! I would highly recommend to anyone. As an athlete, he got me back into my sport within two weeks with just a couple visits and some at home stretching. As a first timer, he was very good at explaining what was going on and what we were doing. Very smart, cleanly, and kind, thank you Frank!
Frank is outstanding! Extremely patient, great listener, remarkably intuitive, understanding, kind and most of all effective. Every exercise he gave me had value, every motion was a step forward and every visit was time well spent. Very highly recommended!!!
Frank is knowledgeable, professional, clean & makes his patients feel comfortable. He has extensive knowledge of different stretches and movements that can be done at home to relieve pain and has not only helped me with neck/back issues, but I also my father, whom I referred over to Frank for Siatic nerve pain issues, and it’s completely improved his ailments as well.
Highly recommend Abbate Chiropractic!
I saw Dr. Frank W. Abbate to treat a recurring neck pain (of 8 years) with a current flare up of symptoms. After just 3 adjustments, and education on stretches to do at home, my neck pain has decreased significantly and I have noticable improvement in my range of motion.
Sara(h), who works in his office, is very kind, professional, and works hard to get patients in to see Dr. Abbate as soon as possible. She and Dr. Abbate make a great team!
To top this all off- Dr. Abbate told me that my ‘crack’ was YouTube worthy! It was loud, and gave nearly instant relief!
During these crazy times of COVID, Dr. Abbate’s office made it hassle free. I showed up, let them know I was there. They came out to get me. I went in for lower back pain that had been plaguing me for weeks. After an exam it was determined I just needed some concentrated stretches. Dr. Abbate showed me two stretches and a simple workout routine. After a few days I was back to normal.
Just had my first chiropractor appointment with Dr. Frank Abbate (the son) very knowledgeable especially with regard to injury rehabilitation. Quickly diagnosed and resolved discomfort and provided exercises for at home care to build strength and stability.
I think it’s easy to think of chiropractic as a profession who deals with back issues.
Not so. I had been dealing with a chronic cough for 4-5 months, and had been to the medical doctor twice, and the cough remained a mystery.
