What to Expect
1. Initial Intake Process: Intake call and Discovery Session
When you first contact our practice, we will have a 15-minute intake phone call with Dr. Abbate. During this call, we will gather basic information about your condition, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether our practice is a good fit for your needs.
Then we will schedule a free discovery session. During this session, you will have the opportunity to ask any and all additional questions you have about treatment, assessment, and your proposed plan of care. We will also perform a brief assessment based on the Selective Functional Movement Assessment system. This assessment will help us identify any movement dysfunctions that may be contributing to your condition and enable us to develop a customized and detailed treatment plan that addresses the root cause of your complaint. From there we can discuss plans of care and how to best move forward with your customized treatment approach.
2. Follow Up Appointments are 1 hour!?
At our practice, we believe that taking longer appointments is more beneficial in getting to the root cause of your complaint. While 20–30-minute appointments may seem like they would be sufficient, we have found that longer appointments allow us to provide more comprehensive and effective care.
One of the main benefits of longer appointments is that they enable us to take a more holistic approach to treatment. By spending more time with you, we can gain a deeper understanding of your unique situation visit by visit and develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs and goals. This may involve a combination of chiropractic adjustments, exercises, soft tissue techniques, and other modalities that are designed to promote healing, restore function, and prevent future injuries.
Another benefit of longer appointments is that they enable us to provide more one-on-one attention and care. This enables us to assess your progress, adjust your treatment plan as needed, and provide ongoing support and guidance throughout your rehabilitation journey more accurately to help your transform and reach your health goals.
3. Wellness Visits
After completion of your plan of care we will discuss the possibility of continuing care on a supportive/maintenance basis. Most patients that we treat will continue care because this allows them to accomplish other greater goals that they have for their health. Wellness visits are really no different from a regular 1-hour treatment session in the types of treatments performed but exercise prescriptions may be more advanced due to the absence of painful complaints being treated. This is your time, and we can discuss anything that you would like from treatment, training, health, nutrition, diet, exercise, and all subjects in between.
